OUR CURRICULA AND SUPPORTS

We utilize the core curriculum provided by the New York City Public Schools (NYCPS). All students have access to Google Classroom for assignments and resources. We are a Civics for All and Computer Science for All school to support our rich STEM curriculum.

  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL): Sandford Harmony
    • Our students engage in a daily Teaching Emotional Agility (TEA) session with their classmates and teacher. During these sessions, student interact with the Sandford Harmony curriculum as well as engage in restorative practices. 

 

Our STEM Majors

Students in Grade 4 have the opportunity to major in two out of four available majors within the school. These majors are partnered with either an outside organization or varied high schools. The student explore careers, colleges, middle school, and high schools connected with their majors. We offer majors in:

  • Natural Disasters for Emergency Response Training
  • Financial Literacy
  • Architectural Engineering and Robotics
  • Parkour and STEM 

 

In addition, we support our diverse learners through various supplemental platforms. These platforms are and not limited to:

  • Class Hero
  • First in Math
  • iReady in Reading and Mathematics
  • Scholastics
  • Sound Partners for Literacy
  • S.P.I.R.E.
  • Teaching Matters JumpStart Program
